Learn to craft narratives through reflective questioning.

Discover the extraordinary in your everyday experiences. This workshop guides you to uncover the universal themes within your personal stories, making them resonate with a broader audience. Through reflective questioning techniques, you’ll learn to explore the sensory and emotional aspects of significant moments in your life. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just starting out, you’ll gain tools to craft compelling narratives that bridge individual experiences with shared human emotions. Join us to transform your unique journey into stories that touch hearts, spark understanding, and reveal the common threads that connect us all.

Join us for this free event designed for community members aged 18+, with a small donation suggested from allies to support the program.

All donations $2 and over are fully tax-deductible.

Kelly Vincent (they/them) is a multifaceted artist and advocate from Kaurna Land, Adelaide, South Australia. As a writer, poet, playwright, director, and actor, Kelly brings a wealth of creative experience to their work. They are the author of Dandelion Heart (Debut Books, 2021), a collection of poems and personal essays celebrating disability and diversity.

Kelly’s passion for inclusive arts led them to co-found and serve as creative director for a disabled persons theatre company. Their commitment to social justice extends beyond the stage; Kelly is a former member of parliament who championed disability rights, and continues to work as an access and inclusion advisor.

As a disability and LGBTIAQ+ rights advocate, Kelly uses their varied talents to promote understanding and equality, weaving together the threads of creativity, politics, and social change. They are passionate about working with marginalized communities to empower them through storytelling. Kelly is proud to be an associate artist with Act Now, where they continue to explore the intersections of art, advocacy, and social change.
