Vote out racism!
We’ve been working with Reconciliation South Australia for several years and reached 1,000s of people with our award winning Responding to Racism program, but we want to take it further! We want to extend the program by creating a primary school specific version, and also a healthcare specific version. We’re asking for $68,920 through the state government initiative ‘Fund My Community’ to achieve this…and we’ve been shortlisted! But we need your votes! This is participatory budgeting, which takes about 20+ minutes to complete (get comfortable, democracy takes time!). We’ve pulled together some information below to outline the process.
Ready to help us generate a positive change for the future?
- Firstly, you need to login to Fund My Community Program
- Once you’re there, you can look at the amazing projects to vote for – you can’t just vote for one project, you have to create a ‘plan’ by voting for many projects (it takes 30+ minutes!).
- Our project, ‘Anti-Racism Education’ is in there, and it’s a pretty amazing project, so please vote for it!
- If you work for a Primary School, High School or Healthcare organisation and want to be contacted when we develop the project, get in contact here.
This is what our project looks like in the Fund My Community website (click on the image and it will take you directly to the voting page):
