Want to learn how to creatively tell stories?

Want to meet new people?

Want to chat all things queer?

Due to the popularity and success of our 2017 Queer Youth Theatre Workshops, ActNow is offering another seven weeks of two-hour workshops. If you are aged between 18-30 and identify as queer or as LGBTQIA+, this if for you! This will be an amazing opportunity to work with professional artists, develop performance skills, meet like-minded people and build pathways into the arts industry. The weekly workshops will be run by local queer professional theatre director, Sarah Dunn who directed STCSA’s Red Sky Morning, Sarah Ruhl’s  Melancholy Play and was selected to attend the Playwriting Australia conference for directors of new work.

Sarah and the group will be using this space to discover new ideas and, potentially, create a new work – we would love to see you there for all seven weeks, but are running the workshops on a drop-in basis so feel free to drop in at any time. We will be hosting the workshops on Kaurna Land, our first workshop series we’re hosting in our new home on Hindley Street. We queerly hope to see you there!

Here’s theatre director Sarah Dunn talking what to expect!
