Jamila Main | Artist, Zero Feet Away
Jamila is a theatre maker whose work has been performed in Adelaide, interstate, and Vancouver, independently and with professional companies. She is currently completing her Diploma of Arts (Acting) at Adelaide College of the Arts and holds a Bachelor of Arts in the Enhanced Program for High Achievers in Drama and International Relations from Flinders University. Jamila appeared in Romeo and Juliet and Origin of the Species for Urban Myth, as a reader in the Quart Short Reading Nights, and her original livestream theatre piece Geode is available online. She has worked as a voice actor and youth theatre tutor for South Australian theatre companies and appeared in various short films. Jamila’s play Immaculate received the 2016 State Theatre Company of South Australia’s Commendation and was performed as a reading at Back Porch Theatre. Jamila will next be performing in DNA by Dennis Kelly,
directed by Corey McMahon at AC Arts.
