Alexander graduated A.C.Arts in 2012- while studying he designed lighting for The Devil’s Mirror and Its Fragments; It Started With Swing; Macbeth directed by Geordie Brookman; Little Shop of Horrors directed by Paul Peers; and Mad Forest directed by Chris Drummond. In 2013, after working as lighting operator at Adelaide Festival’s Barrio, Alexander was assistant lighting designer on State Theatre Company of South Australia’s Babyteeth. In 2014 Alexander was resident lighting designer at Urban Myth Theatre Company. His designs since include: And No More Shall We Part; East of Berlin; The Web; Orphans; Echoes of Knowing Home; Man in a Bag; Romeo and Juliet; Myriad; Sprout; Unravelled; Schmidt; Red Sky Morning (STCSA Umbrella); The Island of Doctor Moreau; and The Bull, the Moon, and the Coronet of Stars. Outside of theatre, Alexander has designed lights for Moving Music Festival 2015, the tall-ship One And All, and the Arts SA Ruby Awards.
